Pierre is a shy man whose sole focus in life is studying astrology in solitude, which is often difficult since he still lives at and studies in his parent's house. His parent's would rather he date and get married. He takes on this task with verve. It rather belongs to the era of the first sound films than to the 60's. It's slapstick is elegantly old-fashioned, and it uses the sound with the sheer joy of invention. Technically brilliant at times. The characters are all surprisingly memorable. Never mind the plot, though, it's just a pretext. (BTW, there's a problem in the description. Astrology? Come on, imdb. The guy is supposed to be a science geek.)
