Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde is a movie that devalues the first installment in the series simply by existing. It makes everything that happened in that movie seem worthless as, for the most part, it ignores it. It's more of a remake than a sequel, too, going through the same story, with almost identical scenes through and through. It's even sillier, even cheesier, and it's harder to take in without cynicism.

The first film surprised me. This one was exactly what I had expected from the first. A shallow substanceless dumb blonde movie.

I actually enjoyed this movie more than the original, I think in part to the earnestness that Reese Witherspoon plays Elle Woods. She is the champion of never let anything get in your way of doing it, even if everyone thinks you're unqualified. Especially when you are SO not. Or don't know it. Turn your brain off, enjoy.

Not as good as the first Legally Blonde movie, which was a pleasant surprise, but still quite amusing. Notice the set of Elle Woods' apartment in D.C. in the film - this is design at its best, once featured in an issue of Architectural Digest.

Vacuously silly sequel kicks everything that made the original an unexpectedly enjoyable film to the curb – instead of revealing modest depth behind superficiality, this leans right in to the ditzy, making Elle a near legitimate airhead; perhaps it’s not as egregious a problem as it could be, since the screenplay drags everyone down to that level. Coasts by on Witherspoon’s natural effervescence – if you’re not even susceptible to that, probably best you move along!

Like most sequels, it doesn't quite live up to the original, but its not so bad that real fans won't find proper enjoyment.

don't get me wrong on this, i actually really liked the first one but this sequel just sucks. ok, there are a few funny moments, but that's it. Reese W. fails to achieve what she did in the first one and her lines are really dumb most of the time. the whole movie is just a little too over the top and fails to find a good mixture between unrealistic but funny moments and an interesting storyline and dialogues.

Again Reese Witherspoon manages to keep a bottom of the barrel movie mostly afloat. Slightly better than Sweet Home Alabama (which doesn't say much), but no where near as solid an effort as the original Legllay Blonde. This is a rehash with minimal charms outside of Witherspoon's perky performance.

I review this film to give a "Low water Line" to all my reviews. This pink, saccharin flavoured pile of vomit is the worst film I have ever seen ... none of the charm and quirkiness of the original, just a money making exercise to rip the customer off with a pathetic story, terrible acting, and childish ( actually, thats is insulting to children ) script. What Reese Witherspoon must have thought about this when she saw the final product, God only knows. HIDEOUS

The first Legally Blonde was okay because it was kind of original, this is just a lame sequel trying to capitalize on the success of the first movie. It has no value except, perhaps, as a diversion if you're babysitting a bunch of tween girls.

A farcical insult that pisses on its predecessor. Everything happens due to cosmic chances, not because of active characters. All things are handed ready, without effort or real deserving. It only adds to aggravation that there’s like one or two actually heartfelt and inspiring scenes sprinkled on top of this piss poor effort of a comedy that is mindbreakingly unfunny and so naiive and childish it could almost work as a fantasy film.

Prime Video.
