I liked the multiple interpretations of the story, but in the end it was stumbling into its own feet. The story didn't - no matter how hard it tried to be clever - find out any useful solution. The voice-over in the beginning and in the end spoiled everything. For me there was just one couple (as young and the other as - possible - old, all in one story). Lemming was just a symbol of crack in a marriage, which they killed in the end.

Tried to be insightful and suspenseful and interesting and a lot of more things, but didn't succeed at any. It's ridiculous if anything. Somehow slightly entertaining though.

Add question and dinner party games as another medium cinema interconnects with alongside theatre and painting (although it's vastly different from videogames), where the narrative is a game of 'Guess the Plot Twist' for the viewer unless the script has actual meaning to it. Most of them, like Lemming, eventually lead to me giving up and waiting for the thing to end for the rest of the runtime.

Frustrating. First third is brilliant, second third is solid, final third it all unravels all over the place.

Great little psychological thriller which is also a pretty devastating critique of France's culture of male infidelity.

Interesting.

Starts off quite promising, but gets increasingly lost in its own mystery. The character motivations are nebulous and the resolution only barely ties it together.

Intriguing but not sure that it had any deeper meaning.

How do you know it's a French movie? Unbuttoned shirts and blouses all over the place, they're cooking ragoût, they wanna have sex all the time and in the least appropriate situations, there are plenty of weird dialogs and the inevitable partner switch. Further the movie comes across as pseudo-artsy and wannabe-ambivalent. The lemming scored compassion points with me though, and there certainly are worse things than looking at C. Gainsbourg for about 90 minutes.
