Lemon Popsicle

Saw the American dub of this, and found it not too bad at all. Even if it is mainly known for trying to push the envelope in terms of sex and teenage naughtiness, it's basically your typical boy-chases-girl film. Nice characters, banal dialogue, predictable plot. The film's look is lo-fi and dusty, a tad disappointing, and the repetitive 50's jukebox music grates. If you can overlook those flaws, the film is an enjoyable precursor to American Pie and all that.

Probably the only teen sex comedy that ends on a major downer. Like Jesus, what is supposed to be the moral here? Girls are evil and just love you because you help them get abortions? I'm too young for this shit.

In Germany those films (here called the "Eis am Stil" sequels) were pretty successful. I love the music.

This had a huge cult following in Israel and spawned about five sequels. Internationally there was a mixed reception. As the story unfolds, it does not turn out to be entirely as bad as you'd expect from a proto-teen-flick.
