Les Gaietés de l'escadron

This French movie sure had a lot of highly regarded actors like Raimu, Jean Gabin and Fernandel to mention the most famous faces. And it's a cheerful military parody where they fit right at home. However the movie lacks the real laughs and falls flat compared to it's enormous potential considering the cast they had collected. There is still something delightful about this Maurice Tourneur directed comedy even if the funny bits are not in-your-face funny.
