Les amours d'Anaïs

Much to rare as a genre: the lighthearted film that is not entirely inane. Weird ending though, as if they ran out of stuff to say and decided to call it a day.

This is a sometimes gently amusing, sometimes thought provoking and fairly entertaining watch. It has some philosophical type moments but I wouldn't say its awfully 'up itself' (though it is fairly arty). Nice characters, kind of quirky, yes, I'd say this is worth a watch if it sounds of interest. It has a nice daydream-y aspect to it.

"Anaïs In Love" features a captivating performance by Anaïs Demoustier and impressive filmmaking by Charline Bourgeois-Tacquet. However, the film's narrative loses muster as the story progresses, and the conclusion lacks impact. While it is an engrossing watch, the film falls short of its potential to be a more revelatory exploration of love.
