Young teenagers discovering their (awkward) sexuality. It's pretty hilarious, and awkward. The opening shot is 2 teens French kissing. Not too appealing for me personally. The main character and his friend are really dry and funny. Everyone's been through puberty on here, so some parts feel (well, to me at least) quite familiar, though I've never been a boy

Pretty funny and endearing French teen comedy focusing on two of the ugliest 15-year-olds in a school and their plans to get girlfriends so they can stop masturbating into their socks over underwear catalogues. Riad Sattouf (a young comic book artist) taps into juvenile immaturity and explores a rich comedic vein, touching on pop culture too. Supporting characters like the mother or the principal have hilarious bit parts. It's a feelgood film but sadly the ending is a confusing, rushed mess.

Awkward and moody and full of unlikeable characters, but then they are all teenagers so I suppose it's realistic. Has a strange charm to it that makes it hard to turn away from.
