Disappointed. This film is being hailed as one of the greatest French comedies ever, but I didn't find it funny, except for the drinking scene (where the actors *really* drank) and the silencers' sound.

Thought it would be a serious gangster movie but was pleasantly surprised at the comedy bits. Some scenes had me laugh out loud.

This could be better. I admit I was not in the mood. Though it never attracted me or made me smile.

Lino Ventura and Bernard Blier play leading roles. What more can you want? I admit it's not that great in other respects - it wasn't before I looked it up part-way through that I found out it's supposed to be a comedy. But they're both in it. Seriously.

Although it unfortunately gets silly at times, it's still funny. The french dialogues are legendary. Cinematography is great for a comedy.
