Let's Kill Ward's Wife

Eh, it had its funny bits. I love properly done morbid humor, so this movie intrigued me. After watching it, I felt like I watched an introduction and not a whole movie. Really, it barely tackled the whole thing the movie is about, and ended weakly. Cheap.

One half funny, the other half morbid, Let's Kill Ward's Wife is a movie that takes the premise of "What would happen if we killed someone everyone hates?" and runs with it. The results are unlikely to surprise you, but the complete lack of empathy and human compassion from the cast will. It's kind of awkward, kind of funny, and kind of depressing, but it never stops being fun, and I wound up having a lot of fun with this film.

Let's Kill Ward's Wife is delightfully distasteful. The initial character development that took 20 min was a little weak (possibly the cast), though once the killing and panicking and dark humour gets going, you get drawn into their morbid, twisted world. With a runtime of 80 min, this film doesn't overstay it's welcome. Cinematically, the the film adopts an over-exposed tone, washing out the colour, until Ward's wife is killed; an interesting choice that provides the right atmosphere.
