Life Is Flashing Before Your Eyes

seems like the sort of short film I would've seen as a kid and its melancholic optimism would've depressed me for the rest of my life. Watching it now, it has very cool animation, but it definitely does not cheer me up (and the song sucks).

I love it. The song is schmaltzy yet jittery, as is the video. It's a mish-mash of seemingly whatever would come to someone's head when thinking about the beauty of life and the finality of death, a paean to what we have available to us not necessarily by slowing life down, but rather by accepting that life is fast and that one must learn to keep up and enjoy the time one has. Like running to catch a bus rather than waiting for the next one.
