Life Without Principle

Seeing as To's movie often involve torture and murder, it's quite remarkable that this one, about the financial crisis of 2008 and it's effects (only the whats, not the whys) on three characters and their interwoven narratives is easily the one to make me the most uncomfortable and tense (the banker luring an elderly into high risk funds being an early stress test) as To really milks the spreading despair, fitting in moments of humor without ever really going full blown satire.

Could be my fav To flick….

Really liked this film about financial meltdown. I'm generally tired of films that interweave multiple narratives and characters, but I liked this one. Loved Ching Wan Lau in this.

i don't understand all of today's cinephile bandwagons, but johnnie to is a fucking behemoth. lmao at the serial blinker who just irritates people into giving him money. 'i wish you prosperous business'

After watching this my Chinese bank made much more sense to me. Also it gives quite a glimpse into the money obsessed Chinese culture.
