Life on the Line

Absolutely no line in this screenplay hasn't been said a thousand times in a thousand movies before, from the "war-flashback dad looking out the window at his kids," to the "if I grow up to be half the man he was" son-in-law to the "you know I hate birthdays" John Travolta.

Surprisingly good movie and nice tribute to electrical line workers.

This was informative about the dangers of being a lineman. I mostly enjoyed the build up to the end. While all the necessary components are there to explain his heroism, the events did not give me the emotional impact it should have. I can't put my finger on exactly why it failed to satisfy. Perhaps I had simply become indifferent to the characters.
