I wish he was like Magic cause then this movie would have been catchy like the AIDS.

Gee golly, these kid movies where a kid is somehow comparable to an athletic pro is something of an commodity back in the day, wasn't it?

You see the poster and you get exactly what you expect: a harmlessly unambitious and likable dredging of the underdog sports formula, with some novel casting choices (Glover, Forster, Levy) adding some mildly spicy verve, even through a plot that never breaks free from the doggedly predictable. Bow Wow makes for a smart, intelligent centre for the attention - though the lack of a cameo from the eponymous Mike feels like a missed opportunity, it's hard to find much fault with the enterprise.

Meh, boring kids fantasy it does seem to have some heart, but still poorly done.

like mike in the sense that it is bad (mike is bad, you see)

I'm guessing you guys wouldn't want to watch the Bollywood remake of this :P

Arguably the most implausible movie ever created. Even the greatest 4'8" scrawny 13 year old would be abused so badly on the defensive end that he would be too big of a liability to actually play. I know this is a movie for kids but I can't get over shit like that. The score would have been much lower, but Crispin Glover is in it and he makes a great cliched bad guy. A little kid might like you, but you will probably hate it.

I enjoyed this as a kid seeing the NBA stars, although I'm sure it is not actually a good movie. I think Lil Bow Wow is now broke like many players after their NBA career. Less funny but equally bad basketball version of rookie of the year

About what you'd expect from a movie with Lil Bow Wow in the lead.

An absolutely impalatable blend of orphanage fodder and underdog sports team offal bespeckled with a rank smattering of aging NBA supertar cameos. Oh yeah...and Lil Bow Wow...IF that's his REAL name.

Very predictable film. This could have been easily the worst movie of the year. But those Ya-Ya Sister are still unbeaten. Soon probably all rapstars have acted on their pointless movies... I hope.

It's hard to hate something that is this lighthearted and directed towards children.

Every time I'm wrong I blame this movie.

Ahh I ain't a kid no more... but even as kid-flicks go, this stinks.

I just don't think that you can make this movie and not have the expected cameo by Michael Jordan.
