Kneel before Link.

Terence Stamp plays a primatology professor who lives on an isolated estate in rural England with two chimps and an orangutan. When he hires a young female student as a research assistant, the orangutan goes nuts and starts killing people. It's your standard "trapped in the house with a serial killer" plot, with the twist that the killer is a large enraged ape. Some tasty violence, though a lot of the tension is undercut by the inherent silliness of the girl being stalked by a circus animal.

How can we root against an orangutan? Sorry, we can't. You fail as a concept.

Given that, with a few notable exceptions, the involvement of animals in a movie means that the movie will not be of the best quality, preferring instead to focus on its animal USP rather than anything else, you may think that this film is terrible, but it's not irredeemably awful. Sure, it's not the best thing ever filmed, but it's OK

Not "great", but certainly underrated.

If Primal Rage did not deliver the monkey mayhem I was looking for, than Link more than made up for it. There are times when good taste and 9 out of 10 psychiatrists would suggest that there shouldn't be animals in certain scenes and this movie laughs at all of them. Link makes Caesar look like Dunston. Not really but he smokes, so he's way cooler.
