Hollywood version of "Mr. Steamboat" Robert Fulton's struggle developing the good old steamboat! Richard Greene plays the lead character with Alice Faye & Fred MacMurray being very much equally involved in the dealings. The film is a little too glossy, trying to be a lot grander then the spectacle felt like, but especially Faye does a marvelous job in giving it that little extra personality needed. Simply a happy tale of success.
