Little Red Flowers

Good watch even if you ignore the political message. It sometimes feels like 'One flew over the cuckoo's nest' set in a school with children - only better.

An interesting Chinese film that works as a metaphor for communism. It wasn't clear what the director's stance was on individualism was, that is left for the viewer to interpret. The cinematography is glossy and precise but the images of children and child care techniques are disturbing, at least from a Western perspective. There is no clear story development or resolution. Overall not enjoyable.
