Livid

I was digging this for a while. Breaking into a creepy old mansion with weird rooms and only a comatose old lady there? Sign me up! And oh god, then around the halfway point it veers off into dumb supernatural territory that elicits more laughs than gasps. The final scene is the cherry on top of the 'we tried to make an actual horror movie but we have no thumbs so we continually dropped the ball' cake. Wait, that's a metaphor within a metaphor. I think I out-pretentioussed myself there.

For the most part highly enjoyable. Towards the end you're not wiser than in the beginning (I don't need every little thing explained but some bits were just left unanswered that could have made great story points). In addition, the actual end is slightly cheesy - depending on what you make out of it. That said, I really liked it for the first two thirds. At times even a little scary (I'm desensitized though, I guess) and definitely with a great, eery atmosphere and visually well done.

The best thing about this film was the hilariously British subtitles and how they expected me to believe French people would causally say 'Blimey!' 'bloomin'' & 'bollocks!' Aside from that, it's shit.

I enjoyed this movie tremendously. The imagery was beautiful, and the atmosphere was genuinely creepy. My one complaint is that the plot could have been developed more fully than it was.

Midnight Movie Madness fan fodder. The sort of movie that's worthless, unless you're watching it at midnight and drinking beers. For that purpose it's well suited... Forgettable, but there's some fun to be had.

Good atmosphere and 2/3 is very good, then it kinda drop the ball

I really liked “Inside” by the same filmmakers, but this sophomore entry was very disappointing. It starts well enough as a haunted house / home invasion flick with a creepy atmosphere, but the characters are not interesting and the darkly lit cinematography started to wear me out. It starts to fall apart at the latest when it unveils the backstory of the events and becomes an unfocused mess with elements from numerous better films, and finally leading to a very silly ending.

It started out fine but it ended up being a total mess.
