Charming and utterly plotless comedy that Holly Hunter carries entirely on her shoulders. God bless her. Has more truth to say about life in our age that about a dozen or so Big Important Message pictures

An intimate picture that occasionally suffers from talking head syndrome, but is so well acted by Holly & Danny that the transparent veil of humanness is pervasive. Moderately paced with additional jazz club scenes, fantasy sequences, and couples erupting into battle, all of which serve to heighten the impact. I'm a sucker for a picture that suffers from being too honest.
