As a kid, this shit was just the funniest. As an adult, while not really sober at all, this shit is still the funniest. A lot of gags had a lot of physical labor involved in them, which somehow makes me appreciate them more. Cast is wonderful. It made me laugh, then feel a bit awkward and childish for laughing, then just accepting my bad taste in some things which helped me continue to laugh. I died at that police tape limbo dance.

"Why don't you come over for dinner and see how a positive family environment offers so much more than your hollow, hate-filled existence?" This movie is a loose cannon with nothing to lose and I am its reluctant aging partner. Love it.

This was made back in the day when spoof slap-sticks were actually funny. The jokes are as rapid as in Airplane! and admittedly they don't hit as many of the funny buttons as Airplane! a lot find there mark. There's some absolutely superb humour in this and Emilio Estevez and Samuel L. Jackson make a great pair. Plus there are plenty of really good cameos. If you like slap stick give this one a go for sure.

Okay, I may be a bit biased when it comes to this one, since it was one of the first VHS I bought for my own money, and I watched it an unhealthy amount of times from age 12 to 14. Still... it's infinitely better than the shit posing as spoofs these days. (god, I'm getting old)

Loaded Weapon 1 is the cinematic equivalent of firing endless rounds of ammo blindly in every direction, hoping that at least one of its bullets will score a hit.

One of the funnier spoof films you will see. While not quite a Naked Gun or Not Another Teen Movie, this movie is still filled with the laughs you crave.

Classic spoof movie. Great work by Emilio Estevez and Sam Jackson as well as all of the cameos. Mindless fun.

One of the best slapstick comedy's ever. Can't get enough of that Movie.

"Wilderness girls!" are involved it a plot to distribute cocain cookies. Just a flimsy excuse for a comedy with one or two decent exchanges.

I can't believe I watched this as many times as I did as a 12-13 year old, but I loved the lampooning of all the new wave of cop buddy pictures. Plus, Shatner and Sam Jackson.

Mediocre spoof that's not particularly memorable. But, to its credit, unlike modern "spoofs" (e.g. Epic Movie, Date Movie, etc.), it actually has jokes, some of them are even funny. But if you're looking for a good spoof, just go watch Airplane or Naked Gun again.

Hit and miss - as it is in most of these Airplane!-wannabe's. Great cameos, though. The girlscout-Tim Curry meets Whoopy scene is great!!!

TMNT popping up out of nowhere is the only time I laughed.

Underrated! Not as good as the Naked Gun trilogy of films, but good enough that they should have made a sequel. If you're a fan of the genre there's not really anything to complain about.

Serviceable but totally unexceptional spoof/slapstick comedy. It has a few laughs, but is nowhere near as good as the films it's clearly trying to emulate.

As a comedy it ought to be funnier, as an action film it ought to be more exciting. Even when there are good lines the delivery is generally phoned in, and there are a lot of places where it's just empty references.

Tim Curry made me laugh. Otherwise this is a pretty stupid parody film.

I think it was funny, but had entirely forgotten it 20 minutes after watching it

Loaded Weapon found Emilio Estevez trying to follow in his brother's footsteps. To his credit, he is quite a good comedic actor, skillfully skewering action cliches with reckless abandon, and he has great chemistry with Jackson who is frequently hilarious in a pre-fame role. The revolving door of star cameos keeps things lively, but there is no denying the obvious: it's a cheap knock off of Zucker-Abrahams' style, even if it is amusing. It's better than most imitations of ZAZ though.

Emilio Estevez tries to one-up his brother in the whole parody genre and pretty much comes up waaaaaaaay short.

The movie is not funny - simple as that.

You've got to give it to Emilio and Samuel, they hardly ever phone it in, no matter how bad the movie. Anyway, the jokes usually aren't funny, but at least they're jokes. Somebody certainly put some effort into this, but eh, not so good. Bonus points for parodying Stone Cold.

Well... I must admit that I laughed more watching the example movies, the Lethal Weapon sequels.

Its another one of those Hot Shots movies, but its not as good. Look Emilo Estevez can't hold Charlie Sheen's jock (figuratively speaking).

Silly early 90s parody flick feels like it was written by a 13 year old boy, but where else can you see Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Curry, William Shatner, Whoopi Goldberg, Phil Hartman and many more all in the same film!
