The kind of jigsaw-with-half-the-pieces-missing soulless waste-of-two-hours-of-your-life film that makes you, a middle aged white man who never wrote anything entertaining ever think 'No but really, *could* I be a writer?'

It feels weird to have this in the middle of the pandemic. But anyway, the premise is maybe a little more interesting than the execution. It has some talent involved and Hathaway really tries in particular, but the script lets this down so hard. A lot of build up with these two that wasn't that compelling, only to lead to a heist that was not in the least bit exciting.

glad that we got couple-having-problems-stuck-with-each-other-during-lockdown idea out of the way and hope it won't be a new cycle

Lovers Linda and Paxton are about to part ways when a lockdown is declared. They are forced to spend their days together at home where they immerse themselves in poetry and wine. Suddenly they get the idea of ??robbing a department store. This robbery may be the solution for them to come closer together again.

It kinda fails as a study of a relationship and it definitely fails as a heist. It's not enough of either of those things to feel well-developed. It feels kinda like 'rich people problems', but I didn't *totally* hate it, I guess. Chiwetel and Anne are both pretty great in this. But the script needed more passes, thanks.

A script that will make you want to claw your ears off. Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor (two wonderful actors!) are ghastly in this, but I guess it's not completely their fault. I truly have no idea why anyone would want to make a film that just revels in all the COVID lockdown stuff we've all grown so weary of, but to be trapped with two of the most insufferably written characters that I can recall just exacerbates things a hundred-fold.

When I heard that they wrote, filmed, edited and released a movie about covid, during the beginning months of covid, I was obviously intrigued. Not only that they were even able to do this so soon into the pandemic, but that they finished it so quickly too. Unfortunately, while the idea was good, I think rushing it ultimately made it a worse movie. That being said, it's not terrible, but it will be forgotten.
