An excellent mokumentary. This is made as a documentary about a rich hollywood couple that decide that they have to get involved in charity. They have absolutely no altruistic intentions which makes the movie a comedy/satire. But the beauty of it is that it doesn't go too far over the top - we laugh at how naive and insensitive they are, but it's still close enough to reality. And all of that was made for $2000! Strongly recommend everyone to watch this movie.

I wanted so badly to like this.

There's a little bit of funny here, but it's stretched way too thin. The scenes with actual street people seemed kind of exploitative and mean. I know that was the point, we needed to see these characters being exploitative and mean, but it's still more than I was willing to take from this film. I do appreciate the satire though, and the Gunns really were funny characters.

Cute mockumentary with fun characters in the lead, but ultimately there's not enough going on to fill the runtime.

At its best this is really warm and likable fun; Fischer seems to already have an eye for THE OFFICE style mockumentary humour, and she and Gunn make for a terrific, dead-pan absurdist comedy team (the “Important Businessman” sequence had me legitimately rolling). A shame it runs out of steam and inspiration, becoming a little repetitive and meandering to a soft conclusion rather than storming home. Atypically benign production from Troma still gives Kaufman a slightly seedy cameo!
