Easy to understand why this was a such gigantic bomb at the box office. Rough production all-round, so even if it boasts of being the first big British musical in Technicolor, that doesn't cover-up all the problems the film did have in the slightest. Instead the film becomes a oddly fascinating window into the British music halls. Rarely good, but eager to deliver what it had to offer. Not to mention, being a rare chance to see vaudeville star Sid Field doing his thing.
