Spencer Tracy & Jack Oakie team-up as telephone trouble-shooters. They are two of a kind. Oakie a little bit more clown and Tracy by far the toughest, but still they are both jokers with similar characteristics. Not that the jokes was sitting that hard in this one. Too much of this was dwelling in lame romance with Constance Cummings. Personalities comes out clear and at least that keeps the movie floating along with some nice action with the earthquake and fire stuff getting some high points.
