Los Muertos

a perfect movie about the hollistic understanding of the universe, an interior experience

(Viewed on 08/02/14): References to Conrad and Ford have become common among cinephiles, but Los Muertos is a difficult film to categorise. It isn't startingly original, but the elements are assembled and refashioned in such a way that avoids easy comparisons. Vargas is rugged and mysterious with an intense physicality that makes him eminently watchable, and Alonso's fluid long takes render his virtually dialogue free journey home into the vast wilderness compelling even when it's still.

Iste belki de tum doga karsisindaki insanin gunumuzdeki karsiligi; plastik bir super hero. Gercekcilikten kopmus, dogalliktan kopmus, kendisinden kopmus. Yitip gitmis... Cok guzel, cok ilginc bir deneyimdi. Bundan sonra Alonso'nun islerini takip edecegim.
