Lost in Paris

magical, yet I just found it...simple, plain. Once more, Abel and Gordon show us how life is messy, but you'll get through. It's feel good stuff. But it didn't resonate. It's average. I'll one day seek more from them, but for now my rush is over. (This is totally a melancholy mood out of their style so maybe I'm denying alot here.

More of the same Tati antics from Dominique Abel and Fiona Gordon, but not quite as delightful as 'The Fairy'. Having said that, I'd be disappointed if their next film deviated from their distinctive (in the context of contemporary cinema) physical theatre roots. Greta Gerwig, herself a very fine 'physical' actor, could learn a thing or two from Abel and Gordon when it comes to converting her physicality for acting to directing films that celebrate this almost lost art.
