Lou! Journal infime

Lou! isn't a bad film; it's creative and embraces its musical weirdness and staged aesthetic and overall quirkiness. Nevertheless, I couldn't stop feeling disconnected and unengaged from every little thing that was happening. The animated interludes, the song-and-dance number, the music-video inspired laser tag and the constant emotional whining; it occasionally amuses, but most of the time I found myself put off by it.
