Louisiana Purchase

The whiney senator was amusing at first but the schtick got old fast. Overall I found this to be dull and unfunny. The songs weren't very memorable either.

Bob Hope in splashing Technicolor! In only the comedy was as colorful. This was a letdown. Most of the comedy relied on Hope and Victor Moore finding their common ground. Unfortunately they never found the tone resulting in their chemistry rarely generated any laughs. Not a mismatch, for both rely on dry jokes for the respective personalities. It was just that the material didn't suit them and the romance, song and whatever else they filled this with only helped drag it down even further.
