The characters were more annoying than charming and none of it seemed fun at all.

A pretty poor screwball'er where Carole Lombard almost get out-shined by a ugly little dog. Where it most fails is that the guys doesn't come across as charming in their pursuit for the lady's hand, and with that kills the comedy making it all becomes just shouting and pure compulsion. One just doesn't get into any of the characters. Not the courter, nor the fiancé. Not even Lombard as she lets herself get just as annoyed by Foster's persistence as the audience and still she falls for the guy!
