Love Finds Andy Hardy

Mickey Rooney is so obnoxious in this film that it somehow manages to loop around and become amusing again. Garland's early days are sweet.

This plays out like an Archie comic book (in fact, I've since read that Andy Hardy was an inspiration for Archie comics), and is amusing if you reeeeally don't take it seriously. Andy doesn't learn anything except to be more careful when two-timing his girl. It should be titled "Andy Gets His Necking Relationship Back". But Mickey is entertaining and goofy as heck, and Judy is cute. Just don't expect a romance between them in this, their first pairing.

That includes his regular Andy Hardy girl Polly (Ann Rutherford) and sensational Lana Turner! That alone makes this extended family sitcom an experience to remember!
