The twisted tale of Kenneth, socially insecure technical writer who forms an obsessive relationship with "Nikki", an anatomically accurate silicone sex doll he orders over the Internet. Because of his experience with his new toy, Kenneth's life takes a turn for the better when his newfound romantic skills attract the attention of Lisa, a co-worker at his office. But when the doll's jealous personality invades his consciousness, Kenneth becomes trapped in a perverse triangle, torn between the dominating, silicone Nikki and the flesh-and-blood Lisa. (imdb)

Usually, I just want to punch 'lonely' people in the face and tell them to start liking themselves more, but I actually felt sorry for this guy. And kind of related to him in a way (aside from the creepy sex stuff). The third act didn't work so well though. Reminded me a lot of May, which I liked more, but it was still pretty good.

This was... surprisingly not bad. The editing was pretty good and the music worked well. Apes a lot from Vertigo too which was kind of funny. But I can't make up my mind on the ending just yet. I don't like torture and I can't really tell if it was misogynistic, certainly felt that way though. It was certainly uncomfortable. Also, Rip Torn hilariously does not give a shit about being in this movie.

Not particularly serious or groundbreaking, but pleasantly surprising and in fact I quite liked it. It's a well-paced, quirky and interesting light thriller, and the finale is in fact quite scary. Rip Torn seems utterly convinced he's in a comedy, but the leads Harrington and Sagemiller do give this an effort and are charming and quite pleasant to look at.

There's not enough film here to justify the feature length runtime, it might work a lot better as a segment in an anthology horror.

Not that much Horror, more a Psychological Thriller until the third part.

Top badass moment? “You wanted me to be like a rubber sex doll?!” Seriously Kenneth, you should've just manned up and said yes; I reckon Lisa would've gone for it in the end. This movie managed to make me feel a bit guilty; where I used to work I binned dozens of brand new, really thick technical manuals for Windows, a copy came with each new PC we got and no one ever used to read them. And the ending? I personally liked it. I wouldn’t mind a sequel. 2 decapitations, no cats or chainsaws.

Great concept, not-so-great execution. I'm tired of horror movies having these amazing ideas and then dropping the ball so badly, ugh. It's still just fine though, but it could've been so much more.
