Lovelorn Leghorn

It could have had a few more gags, but this short has some great Foghorn Leghorn action. McKimson's best work always revolved around the characters he created.

The rooster guy is a fine character. The dog was here also pretty okay. The story worked most of the time.

Every word of dialogue out of Foghorn Leghorn's mouth must be treasured.

I watched two Foghorn Leghorn cartoons in so many weeks. What's the world coming to? I remember seeing this one frequently as a kid. A hen looking for a husband gets into the middle of your usual dog vs Leghorn kerfuffle. Is it funny? Damn straight ... it ends with a Rube Goldberg rooster trap gag that made me chuckle heartily.
