I'm not sure if there was one surprise in this film, it all has been done before, and better at that. Calling it boring is too harsh, but it is leaning that way.

A meandering, half-drunk examination of some tired themes of corruption and redemption. Wonderful cinematography and acting can't redeem some awkward pacing and obtuse, religiously-bent allegorical shenanigans in its final act.
