ACASRFTMOTWBATWM - All Cops Are Seeking Retribution For The Murder Of Their Wife But Against The Wrong Men

Sets the tone for what's basically the best type of horror flicks to come. Along with TCSM brings the rural gothic to the big screen. Lacks the full aesthetic punch of TCSM but it has its own charm and a certain darkness of its own.

Starts off badass, then shit gets real and you're like "whoa". I went in expecting hicksploitation road movie, got it, but came out with my hands clasped to my head.

Quality "hicksploitation" film which claims to be based on a true story.. there are also some scenes that made me wonder if Coen Brothers' used this as a starting point for their "Fargo". The film captures a laid-back southern mood with interesting characters. It takes it's time to build tension and almost transforms from exploitation to proper drama. Overall a very pleasant surprise.

Starts like Two-Lane Blacktop and then ends as a hicksploitation crime film. This deserves its renown as it is weird but well shot and engaging. The ending is tragic.
