Like a weak, feature-length episode of Peep Show. No belly laughs, although Jessica Stevenson's performance is amusing. Mitchell & Webb are going to need a better vehicle soon before Peep Show eclipses everything else they do.

I wanted to like this film, but its pretty weak. Perhaps we must face facts and admit that Mitchell and Webb are not the comedy geniuses Peep Show would lead you to believe.

From the team who brought us the ace Peep Show, Magicians may disappoint anyone who's expecting the consistent highs of that fantastic comedy. However, if you just sit back and take it for what it is you'll see some great jokes and wonderful subtle humour played out commendably by the usual Brit-com cast. I remember this getting a bit of a panning on its release but I can't understand why. I liked it.

Must be the biggest pile of crap I've ever watched till the end. What was this? And how come this film scores 6.0/10 on IMDB? What is happening?

Mitchell and Webb showcase their versatlity, making a leap to the big screen that is so far from Peep Show... Sorry. I don't know why anyone would pay money to watch this.

It isn't Peep Show but it's still funny.

I like the idea of Peep Show trying to do magic

Basically an expansion of "Peep Show", which should be a good thing but "Magicians" just goes nowhere at all. Still has some amusing moments and obviously the cast is likable but ends up being a real disappointment.

Better than expected but still lacking, Stevenson was fun.

Pretty funny. I liked the girls dance routine song.

I seem to think this is funnier than most people. Perhaps because I love Peep Show and this is 8 million times better than the disastrous Burt Wonderstone was that I saw earlier this year.

Has its moments but generally sub-Peep Show fare.

The cast is agreeable. For passing time.

Visually dull, choppy and not particularly funny. Would have been acceptable TV-movie fare... sadly, it was instead a feature film.

Could have been so much better then it was.

Dissappointing. I had some expectations of this film and the 'that Webb and Mitchel Look' episodes, as peep show never stopped amazing me. Seeing Webb and Mitchell outside of peep-show only distorted the way I looked at the two characters I loved from peep show. The film isn't that bad, nor is 'That Webb and Mitchell look' but it's not special like peep show.

Even for a fan of stage magic like myself, the story is a tad slight, and as I write in 2013, the general premise has been put to better use in the unfairly-derided Incredible Burt Wonderstone. But David Mitchell and Robert Webb's charm and camaraderie alone are enough to make this film good, watchable fun. Neat supporting turns from Jessica Hynes and Peter Capaldi too.
