I suppose if I thought everything Jamie Kennedy did was funny I would fall all over myself hyping this movie up...but that's not the case. However, if you enjoy Jamie Kennedy doing the stuff that got him a TV show in a 90-minute movie format, install a DVD player in your car, pop this in, and watch it in the privacy of a garage slowly filling with carbon monoxide.

My subconscious told me that what I remember from this film was all part of that scene in Scary Movie 3 when the guy raps and they parody 8 Mile or something

Earnest and slightly touching. Anthony Anderson and Taye Diggs are clearly having a ton of fun in this, and Jamie Kennedy's character is just likable enough to not make this abysmal. There are definite high notes.

Here's a game to play with films where a white character thinks or acts like they are black: Place bets with the group you are watching the film with on how long it takes that character to say the "N-word". You know it is going to happen so the bets are safe. In this film, Jamie Kennedy actually says it twice but one is done in slang.

I remember seeing this at a drive-in theatre when it came out and even when I was the age this was made for (preteen/young teen) I thought it wasn't funny. There was just one long joke the whole time (not a funny one at that). Points for getting Ryan O'neal into this and for allowing me to hop into a time machine when this sort of racialized comedy was just stupid instead of trying to make some greater point about society.

Beside "Chasing Papi" the new release in cinema was this Jamie Kennedy's comedy flick about some racial stereotypes. Not so funny and badly made. Somehow these films make lot of money.

Fairly awful but with moments so ridiculous and seemingly unaware of its own cheese, I can't help but be amused.

Totally embarrassing. The only actual laughs are in the blooper scenes during the credits, so you can skip the actual movie.

One of those predictable "stupid comedy/parody" movies, full of stereotypes. It could be worse, but it could be definitely better. Mr president, fortunately a minor character, but one who should be great by definition, is just lame. This production has its brilliant moments, but definitely too less to give it more points.

I enjoy it a lot because I grew up with it, but some of it, even I admit, is painful to sit through... and I'm probably still overrating it. Anderson and Diggs are fun, though, and it's hilarious to see Ryan O'Neal in this for no real reason.

Unbelievably stupid rap culture satire. I don't mind movies making fun of rap culture but this movie is just unbelievably dumb.
