Not a bad film but it does fail to allow William Powell to flex his suave charm.

Started out good as William Powell established himself as a elegant 'man of the world' con-man. But then the movie gets all soppy as Powell's character falls in love with one of his targets played by Carol Lombard (who he married in real life later that year after meeting on the set of this movie). So the rest of the movie is a Powell in love trying to figure out how to deal with this. And to spice it up there is also his partner in crime and part-time lover to make this a love triangle.
