Sometimes watching 5-hour long silent films can be quite a chore. I needed over two days to get through this one. I think they cranked up the speed on the print I saw, for the action/dramatic portions was more comical than engaging. Perhaps with the right restoration and mood, it might feel like a greater film, for there is a lot going on, a lot of sets, a lot of story. Confusing about amount, actually.
