This doesn't really make any sense as a feature film. As a museum installation, absolutely! Blanchett shows off and has fun playing a dozen crazy archetypes (it's wig city, folks), each reciting a selection of different artistic manifestos. I feel like it'd be a wonderful experience wandering from screen to screen, experiencing each vignette at your own pace, but something is lost when edited together in a linear fashion like this.

I never dreamed I would dislike a movie so much that featured Cake Blanchett in the leading role. What was she thinking when she took on this stupendously bad artsy craptastic script. Extra points for Cate, but I found this impossible to sit through.

Please take these contemporary art things out of the cinema. This is not a cinema experience. This shit offers nothing to me at least in the cinema maybe it does on the modern art gallery. This is not a completed film, just some random, disorganized manifestos. Btw it's also the most overrated performance of Cate Blanchett's career.

Interesting thoughts and imagery but difficult to connect together as a single piece

For such an ostensibly unconventional film, it knows how to babble about offering something new but is painfully unable to put its money where its mouth is. It's a verbal collage of other people's work, a relentlessly pretentious mishmash of often contradictory ideas and nothing of its own to write home about. Cate Blanchett dons different accents and wardrobes - a chameleon churning out one cliched persona after the other -, the setpieces are mostly irrelevant, and the point is anyone's guess.

Yürü be ablam.

Blanchett is great. Cinematography is great. The adaptation of the manifestos to everyday situations is great.
