Manipulation

I wasn't necessarily that surprised to see that this won an Oscar. I was more surprised to learn it came out 1991. It's unoriginality, along with numerous other things, make this appear to be a lot more dated than it is.

Good animation, that was before Herztfeldt's "Rejected" but after Jones's "Duck Amuck" ;)

These meta shorts about animation can be hit or miss, in this case both. There are some really wonderful moments, but also a lot of mundane unoriginal ones.

Not like it isn't well made, but 1991? This seems like something that would be done from the 50's?
