I think it's better than most on Criticker give it credit for. It's mostly just light-hearted, funny material centered around beards, hair, and manscaping. It does sort of get to interesting issues about changing ideas of masculinity, though not enough to be considered a serious examination of the subject. Still good for some laughs, though.

Fairly scattered documentary but its not really too serious a subject so the funny carries it far enough.

Why should a guy wax his anus? No reason at all. Why should a woman wax her labia? No reason at all. Welcome to the ridiculous club, dudes. One thing I would have liked this movie to address is that these new pressures on men to groom etc are really just introducing a little parity between the genders. A guy who complains about "having to" keep himself neat but who expects a woman to be completely shaven is a bit of a hypocrite. That's obvious, but is a point that this film misses.

It's just a few celebrities and random people talking and joking on general theme on male grooming. Perhaps it would pass for some humorous two-bit sociology v-log, but as a documentary it is a total failure.

Pretty decent documentary - not to be taken that seriously.

Mostly everything that isn't Spurlock and his boring kid or the weird beard guy is good enough. The Bateman/Arnett tidbits are particularly funny, and it is ultimately and merely comedy that make the lite-sized documentary worth watching. I feel sorry for anyone who has back hair, excessive or not.
