Many Rivers to Cross

"Many Rivers to Cross” is a 1955 romantic comedy set in the Western frontier. The film portrays its leading female character as fiercely independent, then at other times as a brooding child, which added to my dislike of the film. However, in the film's defense, that might have been just what the audience of 1955 came to see.
