Fairly enjoyable, very obscure musical adventure, fancifully depicting the adventures of young Marco Polo (Desi Arnaz Jr.) and Kublai Khan (Zero Mostel). Produced by Rankin & Bass, with a charming animated interlude in their customary style. Arnaz is fine, and Mostel is good fun to watch; Cie Cie Win, of whom nothing more is known, is impressive as a feminist princess. Catchy songs, lovely sets and costumes, but the script is muddled and padded in equal measure.
