Ketti Gallian, a short-lived French import gets a shot at a lead in Hollywood billed alongside Spencer Tracy. Gallian didn't speak very good English and didn't seem like a good fit for Hollywood either even if she was a blond. So she soon returned back home without a success. "Marie Galante" was a okay spy movie, but at times it felt like one was going around in circles and not really getting anywhere and therefore getting a bit boring and feeling longer then it was.

Watchable but thoroughly mediocre thriller somewhat saved by a solid Tracy performance and a quick enough pace. The motivations of the antagonist are fuzzy at best and the rest of the cast isn't much to speak of. Feels longer than it is. Just a movie.
