Marie and Bruce

An insane mess of a film that doesn't really work, but still i sort of have to admire it's miscalculated oddness anyway. Wildly uneven, it manages to veer erratically between the best and worst types of weirdness sometimes within the same scene, and with Broderick perhaps surprisingly coming off a lot better than Moore (who seems to be a wildly uneven actress herself). Still, the soundtrack is pretty good and i'm not sure i can hate any film with a bizarre cameo from Blossom Dearie.

a few quips of sharp dialogue can't save this odd, rambling mess.
