Mata Hari is a German spy, working in Paris. She has already seduced the Russian general Shubin, and has now set her eyes on lieutenant Rosanov, a a young up-and-coming officer. If physical media had existed at the time u know a particular scene in this would be getting rewound over and over until the squiggly lines appeared before the scene was about to start. Garbo is great like usual. Fun little romance flick
