Another twin?? The acting was atrocious across the board and a relatively straightforward plot mangled by a crap script. This lazy and sterile piece of garbage screams desperate cash grab. All 13 points for the hotty, Hemstridge.

Slicker than the typical Van Damme film with a better female lead, still a peice of shit.

Alain Moreau (Van Damme) police officer makes an astonishing discovery: Mikhail, a man who died recently in a breakneck car chase, is the twin brother he never knew. Alain then uncovers a web of family secrets that lead him to New York City, where his brother was involved with the Russian Mafia. Teaming up with Mikhail's lover, Alex Minetti (Natasha Henstridge), Alain must now assume his twin's identity and go undercover to avenge Mikhail's death.

Awful, generic crapfest. Van Damme has precious few good movies under his black belt, and those good movies are made good not by the splits, or some sweet roundhouse kicks, but by a decent (or ludicrous) story. This one is a sloppy, mediocre idea that represents minimal effort, apparently leaning into Natasha Henstridge's good looks for success, a strategy that actually occasionally works.

Maximum Risk plays well to Van Damme's strengths by mixing his martial arts with some exciting action set pieces and chases. The plot mostly wreaks and doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but the action is fun.

Natasha Henstridge is hot and some of the action scenes are entertaining. However that doesn't make this a good movie by any means.

Contrary to general opinion I found this to be an okay van Damme vehicle. Very standard yes, but amusing enough while it lasts. The use of Dutch angles in every fight scene is very noticeable.

Wanted to like this, likeable actors, but pretty generic. Good car chases. JCVD had already been in an identical twin movie, come on!

Good action direction saves this otherwise missable JCVD flop.

I liked the action scenes enough to find it inoffensive but its remarkably forgettable. The story is nothing new at all for van damme films and van damme films are already derivative to begin with. I will say that i am a sucker for jcvd and typically get burned for it but found this one to not be woefully bad despite its very cliche and fleeting impression

It is a film of action very weak. Fans of Jean-Claude Van Damme did not will disappointed, but that does not mean anything.
