Me estás matando Susana

The character of Eligio is wholly unlikeable which would normally make for a similarly unlikeable film, but it's Gael García Bernal so that rule does not apply. In this case, the actor elevates the character beyond its limitations. Also, Verónica Echegui is very attractive, certainly physically but perhaps less so in other ways, which has to be the case for Eligio's paranoia and obsession to ring true.
