Struggling singer on the rise and the problems that brings. Frank Sinatra is so unique, he shines doing his thing. And when you have a strong dame like Shelley Winters opposite him, you got a game going on. Alex Nicol as the friend and third wheel, was really effective as well. Not to mention Raymond Burr doing one of his gangster roles. Lacks a key ingredient to elevate it further, but there is enough packed into a standard fair to be entertained.
