Welp, I opened my big mouth and listed Born of Fire as one of the weirder things I've seen, and that night, this movie comes along and blows it out of the water. This is the most bizarre thing I've ever witnessed and I worked as Ronald McDonald's chauffeur for a year. I cannot stress how unconventional this is. It makes Alex Winter's Freaked look like Alexander Payne's Nebraska. Tank Girl could marry Zardoz and it would look like Runaway Bride in comparison. This isn't seen but survived.

Lots of bizarreness and weird sight gags, and a dark menacing tone that hangs over the whole thing...like Leave it to Beaver set in the world of Terry Gilliam's Brazil.

Gonzo satire, variously suggesting Pee Wee, The Flintstones/Jetsons, Brazil, Parents, and more I've forgotten. Much work went into the limited but fully-imagined setting, but this (post-apocalyptic? underground?) retro-futuristic world is never explained and isn't fully exploited by the bare-bones plot. Sloppy filmmaking, typified by random cutaways to an eyeball creature whose physical location in the living room isn't revealed until like halfway through. An unsatisfying oddity.
