Meeting Venus

"Deliciously biting" is hardly an accurate description of the satire here... more like "broad and pandering". But an enjoyable movie nonetheless. Most people, understandably, have NO idea what goes into making opera happen. Since I work in it, I can assure it's much more nuts-and-bolts hard work and much less glamorous intrigue than this would have you believe. And when things go awry, the reasons are almost always more mundane than anything presented here. Still, a pleasant watch,
